What does PDF to JPG do?
It turns PDF pages into image files — for example, to post a page on social media, insert it into a presentation or send a preview. You can convert every page or only the pages you choose, as JPG or PNG. Everything runs in your browser; your file is never uploaded.
How to use
- Click "Choose PDF file" or drag a PDF onto the page.
- Choose the image format and resolution.
- Leave "Pages" empty to convert every page, or enter pages such as
1-3, 5. You can also click pages in the preview. - Click "Convert and download". One page downloads as an image; several pages download together as a ZIP file.
JPG or PNG? Which resolution?
| Option | Best for |
|---|---|
| JPG | Smaller files; good for pages with photos |
| PNG | Sharp text and lines with no blur; larger files |
| 72 DPI | Quick previews and thumbnails |
| 150 DPI | Viewing on screens, sharing in chats and on social media |
| 300 DPI | Printing or zooming in on small text |
FAQ
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The pages are drawn into images entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to our server.
Why do some pages look different from my PDF reader?
If a PDF uses fonts that are not embedded in the file, the browser substitutes a similar font. Most PDFs embed their fonts and look the same.
Why was a page saved at a lower resolution?
Browsers limit the size of a single image. Very large pages (such as posters) at a high resolution are scaled down automatically so they can be created.
Why is a password-protected PDF rejected?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be read without the password. Open the file with its password in your PDF reader, save a copy without protection (if you are allowed to), then use that copy.
